APL announces the implementation of an Emergency Cost Recovery

Dear Valued Customer,

Due to the significant increase in bunker prices since the beginning of the year and with a view to maintain the highest quality of service for its customers, APL will implement an emergency cost recovery through its Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) mechanism.

This emergency recovery will be applied to all cargo out of China with the following implementation dates

• As from June 1st, 2018 (date of loading) for non-FMC trades
• As from July 1st, 2018 (date of loading) for FMC trades

The recovery amount will be as per below*

The recovery amount will be reevaluated on a monthly basis.
